Vacancy of the week: Business Analyst Libor interest rates

A well established IT / Business recruitment consultancy who run a daily payroll on production of approved timesheets are looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst who has a solid knowledge of interest rate products and how interest rates are determined (seven years + experience) for a prestigious client who works within financial services. We have placed numerous contractors and permanent members of staff for the client over a period of more than fourteen years now.

The consultant/candidate would be the key agent for the client’s response to the LIBOR RFP process.
The role will involve defining the client’s LIBOR Administrator position, developing procedures and guidelines for the various aspects of the role. It will also involve developing any quantitative models needed to support the Administrator role and drafting the RFP process. The successful candidate will discuss open items with the FSA and Treasury and will create the LIBOR Administration team. They will also create the oversight model and determine the governance and surveillance structure for the client.

The role term is subject to the timing of the RFP submission and selection. Should the client win the RFP for LIBOR, the role could be extended to a permanent position within the LIBOR Administration team.

The successful candidate will be required to work with 3 or 4 people primarily from FICC and strategy including the Department Head of the Index team.
