Having read recently that most women wait to hear what they’ll be paid for the following year (rather than strategically start the ‘seeding’ process of what they want well in advance) Kay thought it will help you to pay closer attention to how you are around money.
Ask yourself a few questions and direct them at the above 4 bullets.

Ask yourself…
- How do I approach salary negotiations and how proactive am I?
- Do you know the number you want as an increase/starting salary. “what’s your number?” is one of my questions my VIP clients are used to me asking. If you don’t know then it could be anything!?
- What do I know about the amount of income or value I generate?
- What am I worth to my company/department in terms of service I offer clue, look at what your work does and what you save/generate/avoid?
- How comfortable am I investing in myself rather than ‘stuff’?
- On a scale of one to 10 where one is lowest, where are you between 1 and 10 on your comfort level of talking about money and what I want and especially, your earned money?
