Polina Zabelina currently is a project engineer supporting BP’s Head of Upstream Engineering to implement the upstream engineering strategy, as well as to drive collaboration with other operators to progress standards and standardisation across the industry.
Polina obtained a chemical engineering degree in Omsk (Russia) and started her career as a corrosion engineer with ExxonMobil on Sakhalin-1 project. In 2012, Polina joined BP as a corrosion engineer and was recognised for her work on improving the erosion management across BP with a Tallow Chandlers Award (2014). She was also a winner of the WeAreTheCity ‘Top 50 Rising Stars’ awards in 2015.
Polina is a chartered corrosion engineer, Institute of Corrosion committee member, STEM ambassador and Queen Elizabeth Prize ambassador.
